A very personal painting for Joanne as it was painted at her good friends ‘Orto’ in Italy during her recent residency on the Côte d’Azur. Joanne lived for three years in the South of France in Menton and this canvas was painted in the Italian hills just over the border. The small patch of land is a paradise of olive trees, wild flowers, vegetables & an open kitchen which was used for cooking.
